Google makes life harder for spammers
Just after Christmas Google decided to make the life harder for all spammers who misuse the free email accounts offered by Google.
GMail introduced a new security challenge which is meant to improve security when creating an email account: Validation via a SMS (short text message on a mobile phone).
People are glad that Google is thinking at security, really. But honestly doubt that this will improve the security so much considering the fact that most of the mobile providers offer now phone SIM cards for free. (MD)
